Internet Communication

All UNSW Institute of Languages students are able to access the Internet at the Institute’s computer laboratories.

Telephone and Mobile phones

Local calls from phone boxes are 50c. Phone cards are the cheapest way to make an international call, and are available at newsagents or convenience stores. If you would like to buy an Australian mobile phone, prepaid phones start at around AUD$100. Other phone packages start at around AUD$15 per month for a two-year contract.

Postal service

Australia Post offices are generally open from 9.00 am until 5pm Monday to Friday. Posting an international letter costs between AUD$1.10 and AUD$2.60. Parcels are more expensive, and the price depends on the weight and destination of the package. For more information visit www.austpost.com.au
